Malaysha Johnson, LLMSW

Pronouns:
She/Her

Hey, hey! My name is Malaysha Johnson, and I have recently graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work and obtained my limited license master’s in social work. I enjoy working with people of color, specifically women, as well as young adults. I have experience working with clients from all walks of life. I have had the opportunity to serve in communities such as children and adults with autism, children within the foster care system, co-facilitating group therapy with adults and providing individual therapeutic treatment for adults of various ages. My therapeutic approaches are person-center, psychotherapy, strength-based, trauma-informed, and a cognitive behavioral approach to walk alongside my clients and their healing journey. As an African American cis-gender woman, I understand what it feels like not to be seen or to have your voice not heard. Together we will stand up to stigmas, systematic oppression, stereotypes, racism, sexism, and all the other -isms one step at a time. It will be an honor to walk alongside you and your journey. Remember, YOU GOT THIS!
