My name is Brittany King and I am a clinical psychology practicum student (intern) from Michigan School of Psychology (MSP). I am a third year PsyD student at MSP, with a Masters' in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have practiced primarily in the mental health setting with people of varying backgrounds/ experiences. While my most current work has been working with the Incarcerated population, I have previously worked with clients within the LGBTQ+ community. My practice focuses on a well-rounded understanding of diverse populations and creating a safe space that provides inclusivity and therapeutic care.
In my free time I love spending time outdoors, specifically at the beach (when it's warm), eating Thai food, and traveling.
Client issues/specialities: trauma, substance abuse, stigmatization, criminal injustice, oppression, incarceration and or families of the incarcerated, and clients who identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual
