Valencia Vanner, Decolonized Healing, Reiki

I am Valencia Vanner AKA Fiyah Angelou. Writer. Organizer. Reiki/Energy healer. Healing justice is my passion and I am committed to shaping an Afrofuturistic world in which our communities experiencing healing and joy. I do not believe in a hierarchy of needs. All of the needs of all of our bodies matter. While our priorities in healing may shift, for too long marginalized folks have been denied healing, rest and joy.

For 17 years, I worked in social work. Addiction and mental health were my areas of concentration. Today, I combine traditional therapy techniques with decolonized healing modalities.

My work comes from a deeply intersectional perspective. I represent the marginalized of the marginalized in every aspect of my work. I use my position, platform and privilege to amplify our voices. I use my experience to sit with others in their trauma and walk through to healing.

I am a parent of 3 wonderful humans. I have two cats and a host of animals in the community that I care for and share healing with. I love to read and look forward to sharing reading lists with you, via the Radwell blog. I am available for reiki/energy healing sessions, including consultations on decolonized spiritual and healing work.
