As a therapist with multiple intersecting identities, I understand our mental states are products of our social states. I aim to work collaboratively with the client to help access and utilize the strengths and resources they inherently possess. My areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, eating issues and body image, stress, and identity issues. I have a particular interest in supporting those who are LGBTQIA+ identified and other marginalized and oppressed populations.

I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University, with a concentration in Interpersonal Practice. I integrate a strength-based, trauma-informed approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and harm reduction techniques to support the individual goals of each client. My practice is deeply grounded in a humanistic, systemic, intersectional framework as well as Feminist & Queer Theories.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my wife and dogs. I continue to work as a public librarian for over 18 years.
