Hi, I’m Claire Nowinski (she/her), a Limited License Professional Counselor (LLPC), Registered Provisional Art Therapist (ATR-P), and Certified Grief Counselor (CGC). I approach therapy as a sacred space where the emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of self are deeply interconnected and all are welcome.
In my practice, I use integrative, decolonized methods that honor each client’s lived experience. At the heart of my work is a trauma-informed, creative process that prioritizes safety, authenticity, and inclusion. I specialize in art therapy, which helps clients access and explore their inner landscapes through creativity, deepening their understanding and expression of feelings and experiences.
Much of my therapeutic lens is shaped by Jungian and analytical theory. I view the unconscious not as something to be fixed or feared, but as a rich, symbolic realm filled with messages waiting to be heard. Through art, we access this realm by engaging with archetypes, dreams, and inner imagery that often reveal parts of ourselves ready to be integrated and healed. Developmental theory also plays a meaningful role in my work. I hold deep respect for the ways early experiences shape our capacity to connect, grow, and thrive. By exploring the roots of those formative moments, we can begin to understand what still needs tending and what has always been resilient within us.
While these frameworks form the foundation of my approach, I draw from a wide range of modalities to meet each client where they are and tailor care to their unique therapeutic journey. My approach is always client-centered, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in compassion. Whether we’re working through grief, trauma, identity, or transformation, my goal is to co-create a space where each client’s truth and healing can emerge gently, powerfully, and in their own time.
