Libby Hale, Clinical Graduate Social Work Intern

Pronouns:
They/She/He

Hello! My name is Libby Hale (They/She/He) and I am a master’s student at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. While I seek to work with a wide variety of clients, my focus as an aspiring LCSW is sexual wellness counseling with a concentration on neurodivergent and disabled clients. As a queer autistic person of color, I believe that everyone has an equal right to love and pleasure regardless of gender, sexuality, race, ability, religion, sexual variance (ie kink/fetish), or any other identity. If you and/or your partner(s) are struggling with intimacy due to a disability, together we can work through unique sexual difficulties like sensory issues, losing focus during intimacy, difficulty with orgasm, unconscious biases/power dynamics, modifying positions to optimize mobility, seeking assistive technology, and far more.

I also provide therapy for relationships with a focus on queer and nontraditional relationships such as asexual relationships, polyamorous relationships, and ethically non-monogamous relationships. I believe that something as beautiful and profound as love should never be restricted by societal norms, and I am honored to support those who must fight them.

My main goal as a sexual wellness provider is to affirm and liberate each client to work past shame in order to end the harmful stigma around sex and pleasure. I can’t wait to hear your story and help you find your most pleasurable self!
